Application Field

AO4476A is generally used for applications requiring high drain current such as power switching, battery charging, load switching, DC-DC conversion, motor control and so on. Working Principle

MOSFETs are transistors that are primarily used to control current. This type of transistor works by controlling the flow of current between the source and the drain. A MOSFET has three terminals, the source, the drain, and the gate. When the gate of the MOSFET is given a positive voltage, current starts flowing through the transistor towards the drain. This is called the “on” state. The amount of current that flows through the transistor is dependent on the gate voltage. When the gate voltage is increased, more current flows through the transistor. If the gate voltage is decreased, less current flows through the transistor. When the gate is brought back to 0V, the current stops flowing and the transistor is said to be in the “off” state.
