The RN2904 Low Power Long Range Transceiver Module is a type of pre-biased bipolar junction transistor (BJT) array transceiver. It is especially used in ct application fields, because of its low power consumption, long range capability and low cost.The module includes a low dropout voltage regulator that powers three 3.3V LDO\'s to ensure that the device has the potential to work efficiently in a low voltage system. The low dropout voltage regulator also provides a fast start up time and can provide power to the embedded 802.15.4 radio board, accepting inputs from 3.3 to 5V. The RN2904 also features a low power sleep mode for energy savings.The RN2904 transceiver module has a working frequency of 860MHz to 960MHz, with a maximum generated power of +21.5dBm. It can cover a range of up to 10km depending on the environment. The RN2904 transceiver module can be used for long-range point-to-point communication, wide area networks, industrial automation and monitoring and advanced sensor applications.An advanced transmitter and receiver filtering system allows for high data throughput and low power operation; while on-board Telecoupling filtering technology protects the radio from malicious transmissions and other external signals. The RN2904 also includes an on-board ultra-low power MCU (Microcontroller Unit), which allows for advanced crypto-protection and an AES-128 encryption module.The RN2904 transceiver module works on a fixed-frequency architecture, with a constant carrier frequency that is unaffected by temperature, supply voltage or any other external influences. This design offers high stability and enhances the sensitivity. The RN2904 also includes a highly sensitive and wideband radio antenna, which can extend the range of the radio and reduce interference from external sources.The RN2904 transceiver module works on a variety of protocols including: Zigbee, IEEE 802.15.4, OQPSK, GFSK and FSK. Each of these protocols has been designed for different applications. For example, the Zigbee protocol allows for mesh networking, while the FSK protocol is ideal for broadcast applications.The RN2904 transceiver module is an ideal choice for most ct applications, due to its low-power, long-range capability and low cost. It is also extremely easy to use and configure, making it a flexible choice for any project or application.
