The IRF7306TR is a 12-V, 0.45-mΩ, HEXFET® Array Power MOSFET, consisting of six N-channel MOSFETs housed in a standard plastic package. This MOSFET array is designed to provide a low RDS(on) and high current efficiency for power switching applications. It is capable of handling up to 26 A of peak current and up to 0.2 A of continuous current. The array is also available with an adjustable driver to reduce ringing and EMI on the output.
The IRF7306TR is widely used in high-power applications such as switching power supplies, DC-DC converters, and telecom/network switching. This device has superior protection for over-temperature, over-voltage and over-current, making it an ideal choice for powering critical and sensitive electronic components. This device is also suitable for battery management, USB power management, motor control, and driving power transistors in power amplifiers.
The IRF7306TR uses a combination of gate-voltage and drain-current sensing to detect over-voltage, over-temperature and over-current conditions. The array includes a built-in thermal shutdown circuit that automatically limits junction temperature in the event of an over-temperature condition. This provides for excellent protection for the device.
The IRF7306TR is constructed from a six-cell array of HEXFET® N-channel MOSFETs. The MOSFET array is arranged in an alternating source, drain and gate configuration. Each cell has its own gate and source connections. The cells are connected in series using the drain of one cell as the source of the next cell. By using this architecture, the RDS(on) is reduced and the current capability is increased.
Each cell in the array is independently switchable. The gate voltage of each cell is controlled by an external signal. When the signal is high, the cell is turned on, allowing current to flow through the drain and source connection of the cell. When the signal is low, the cell is turned off and no current can flow through the drain and source connection of the cell.
The IRF7306TR provides excellent performance for many power applications. It is capable of switching large currents with very low RDS(on). Additionally, it has a wide range of protection features that make it an ideal choice for powering sensitive electronic components. It is also suitable for use in battery management systems, USB power management circuits, motor control circuits, and driving power transistors in power amplifiers.
