The IRF7379PBF is suitable for all kinds of motor control, light control, temperature control, and other industrial and automotive applications. This multi-channel transistor switch array was developed to provide an active low-side 0.1Ω/channel, 25A peak and 2A/channel with both high and low side devices. Specifically, it can be used to power-switch electric devices, such as electric motors, pumps, fans, and electric vehicles, as well as providing a direct connection for high-side current-sensing and thermal control of electric vehicle traction batteries.

In terms of working principle, the IRF7379PBF operates off of a supply voltage of up to 36V, and features logic-controlled switches, high and low side current-sense precision amplifiers, and a high-side power booster. It has eight channels, each one with a low-side A-side device and a high-side B-side device. For each channel, an associated Control pin can be used to pull the low-side device high, while an associated PWM pin can be used to apply an 8-bit resolution PWM duty-cycle to the high-side device. The Control pins and PWM pins can also be used to turn the high-side device on and off with different duty cycles. The built-in current-sense amplifier can also be used to monitor each channel’s current, allowing for temperature and power control of the device.

The IRF7379PBF is a key control device for DC-powered equipment, used to control current to electric vehicles, pumps, actuators, motors, and other devices. In terms of current levels, the device can handle up to 25A peak and 2A/channel in various voltage ranges, with an on-resistance of 0.1Ω/channel.
