SI3401ISO-EVB is an evaluation board typically used for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. Specifically, it is used to evaluate and optimize the performance of non-isolated SMPS, featuring a 3-phase current-mode control. It is widely used in power supplies, adapters, battery chargers, and other applications demanding ultra-low output ripple. The SI3401ISO-EVB evaluation board contains three major components: The SI3401ISO boost controller IC, a suitable power MOSFET, and a unique two-stage magnetics topology. This combination allows the design of small, low cost, and highly efficient buck-boost converters in the range of 2-60W. The main unit further utilizes advanced circuit protection, featuring over-voltage and under-voltage protection, current limiting and thermal shutdown. This evaluation board takes both input and output voltages in the range of 300mV-400V. Moreover, this board is designed to withstand a wide operating temperature range, from -40℃ to +125℃.
