Across a wide variety of industrial, medical, and communication applications, engineers are able to rely on the SI34061ISOC4-KIT to evaluate the efficiency, power dissipation, and EMI of their isolated SMPS systems.The SI340lt;61ISOC4-KIT is based on the SI34061 PWM controller IC, which features a wide range of functions built into the device. The device has a step-down topology, enabling it to convert DC inputs into a regulated output voltage with high efficiency. It also includes an integrated low voltage detect (LVD) function for output-overvoltage and input-undervoltage protection. Additionally, the device has an integrated soft-start function to reduce inrush current at turn-on. It also can provide overvoltage/overcurrent protection at the output.The device is also capable of providing an extremely efficient operation through its full-load efficiency of up to 95 percent. Its high efficiency reduces RMS current and is able to operate both with and without an additional output LC filter. The efficiency of the SI34061ISOC4-KIT is enabled by its main board and its MOSFETs, which reduce input and output noise at high frequencies.The SI34061ISOC4-KIT operates over an extended temperature range of -40 C to 105 C.
