STB15100TR application field and working principle
STB15100TR is a type of single-phase rectifier diode, widely used in switching power supply and other related electronic devices. Working Principle
A single-phase rectifier diode usually utilizes the "forward conduction" principle to produce DC from AC. Forward conduction means that the diode will only conduct current in one direction and block current in the opposite direction.
The working principle of single-phase rectifier diode can be divided into two stages: forward bias and reverse bias. During the forward bias stage, when the signal voltage of the diode is higher than the static forward voltage, the diode will be forward biased and will start to conduct current from the signal source until the current value reaches its peak current value. During the reverse bias stage, when the signal voltage of the diode is lower than the static forward voltage, the diode will be reversed biased, and will block all the current. This is how a single-phase rectifier diode works.
