The IRL3303 is a single N-Channel enhancement mode power MOSFET that is developed to provide an optimal balance between RDS (on) and low gate charge. It is a Logic Level type part, with an RDS (on) of 12.5mΩ at 10V gate drive and an ID of 82A at 25°C. It has a VDS (Voltage Drain to Source) rating of 60V and an Absolute Maximum Drain-Source Voltage (VDS) of 30V to ensure maximum rating is obtained. With its high peak current capability and low gate-charge, the IRL3303 ensures reliability and long operation life.

The operation of the IRL3303 is based on two principles. The first principle is the MOSFET channel is formed when electrons pass through a translation layer. The second principle is the drain to source current is limited by the avalanche breakdown voltage from the gate insulation. The gate voltage (VGS) controls the gate current that determines the size of the channel and the current passing through it.
