The IRLR8113 power MOSFET is a rugged, low-cost, low-voltage, enhancement-mode power field-effect transistor designed to provide high density, high temperature, and high efficiency power switchable applications. This MOSFET is a single device and is made up of an N-channel silicon power MOSFET with a vertical trench-gate structure. It is a non-polarised device, with a power dissipation capability of 240W.
These features make the IRLR8113 an ideal choice for applications such as DC/DC converters, power modules, and power supply, for energy efficient and low-power switching applications like LED lighting, high power back-lighting, RF switching, and overvoltage protection. The device also offers low gate charge and low gate-voltage capability which makes it suitable for high frequency switching, as well as high voltage/current blocking capability.
The IRLR8113 main characteristics are on-state resistance, gate capacitance, drain-source voltage, and power dissipation. Its on-state resistance is 100 mOhms, gate capacitance is 2.2nF, drain-source voltage is 40V, and power dissipation is 240W. The device also operates over a wide temperature range of -55 to +175 °C.
The IRLR8113 has a close-tolerance digital output, offering programmable current-limit, that enables accurate operation, over voltage, and over current protection.
