IRF7326D2 is a fully-enhanced N-channel enhancement-mode vertical D-MOSFET designed for use in high-speed power switching applications, such as DC-DC converters, LED drivers, audio amplifiers, and motor control. It offers improved R DS(ON) which enables power saving design. IRF7326D2 utilizes the latest processing technologies to achieve low on-resistance and total gate charge. It also features high frequency operation and low gate charge for improved efficiency.

Their main application field is motor driver, DC-DC converter, LED driver, audio amplifier and other high-speed power switching applications. Due to the lower on-resitances and gate charge, they provide improved power efficiency and lower power consumption design.

The IRF7326D2 have advantages over other devices such as switching speed, temperature performance and maximum drain source voltage of 40V. It has a typical drain to source on-resistance of 5.6Ω and a gate threshold voltage of 2V. It has an 80A pulsed drain current and a continuous drain current of 17A. It also has a drain source reverse breakdown voltage of 40V and an avalanche energy of 100mJ. It has a V GS(th) of 2V and a maximum gate source voltage of 20V.

The working principle of the IRF7326D2 is the same as other MOSFETs. It uses the electric field applied between the gate and the channel to modulate the conductivity of the drain and source. When a positive voltage is applied to the gate of the MOSFET, it will create a depletion region under the gate dielectric and will avoid the conduction of electrons between the source and the drain. When a negative voltage is applied to the gate, this electric field will modulate the electron movement from the source to the drain, allowing the current flow.

The IRF7326D2 features a high-speed switching performance, which can be achieved by using a gate charge control circuit. It also features enhanced thermal parameters, allowing for improved junction to case thermal resistance and maximum safe operating area. This device is available in standard packaging, or semi-custom form for increased power density.The power loss in the device is reduced due to the low on-resistance. This device also offers a wide operating temperature range from -55oC to +175oC.
