The IRL3714STRR is a single very small (V-SMC) MOSFET device designed to create a simple and cost-effective alternative to standard power MOSFETs. The device is constructed out of a silicon substrate, which is a type of material used with FETs, and it works by application of specific voltages to the Gate, Drain and Source terminals. This type of MOSFET device makes use of a metal oxide semiconductor field effect structure, commonly referred to as MOSFET (metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor). The device is constructed out of a dual gate construction, utilizing the benefits of both P- and N- channel types of MOSFETs. This helps to create devices that offer superior functional performance characteristics such as low gate-source voltage, low drain-source on-state resistance, and high switching speed.
