Working Principle of 2SK2731T146
The 2SK2731T146 is semiconductor device composed of three layers of P-type, N-type and P-type doped silicon materials. When voltage is applied to the gate circuit an internal electrical field is created that induces a current in the source-drain channel. A current will flow from the drain to the source. This current is known as the “drain-source” current or IDS.
The FET behaves like a resistor with a varying resistance depending on the applied gate-source voltage. When there is no voltage applied to the gate (or VGS = O), the FET is blocked, meaning no current can flow between source and drain. As the applied gate-source voltage increases, the channel opens wider resulting in a small resistance and large current that can be transferred. As the drain-source voltage increases, the resistance also increases, preventing a larger current being transferred.
