The IRLU3714 is an n-channel enhancement mode power field-effect transistor (FET), that has been designed to support high current, low-voltage applications. Due to its excellent current handling capacity, low on-resistance, and fast switching speeds, the IRLU3714 is used in a variety of applications such as power management, lighting, motor and solenoid control, and battery management.This FET’s unique design is able to support high-performance applications, even at relatively low current levels. Its high linearity, low gate charge, and extremely low on-resistance, makes it ideal for demanding applications. Moreover, the IRLU3714 has the capability to handle tremendous amounts of current over a wide range of temperatures and voltages.The IRLU3714 is constructed of an advanced silicon silicon die with a specialized gate layout of six independent FET devices. Each FET device contains an isolated source and drain regions and four layers of internal gate contacts. This FET\'s source is connected to a P-type Terminal while its drain is connected to an N-type Terminal.The working principle of the IRLU3714 is simple yet effective. When you apply a positive voltage to the Gate, an electric field is created, which then repels electrons away from the Source terminal. This generates a current flow from the Drain terminal to the Source terminal, allowing the FET to switch on. Reversing the Gate voltage causes the electric field to force the electrons back towards the Source terminal, which switches the FET off.The IRLU3714 is typically used in active power management, lighting and motor control, solenoid control, battery charging, and other low-current, high-voltage applications. It is well-suited for applications where a low on-resistance and a fast switching speeds are required. It is also excellent for protecting valuable equipment from overvoltage and static electricity. Its fast switching speed, combined with its high current rating, makes it suitable for high-speed applications such as power conversion and motor control.The IRLU3714 is well-known for its low gate charge and excellent linearity. It has also been designed to be fully compliant with the current international standards in regards to current and voltage ratings.
