FQPF5N50CYDTU Application Field and Working Principle

The FQPF5N50CYDTU is a fast switching N-channel Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor also referred to as a MOSFET. It is a type of single MOSFET, rated at 500 Volts, and 5 Amps with a maximum continuous Drain Source Voltage of 800 Volts. Knowing the power ratings can be helpful for selecting the proper MOSFETs when used in various applications.

The maximum ‘on’ resistance of the MOSFET determines the current carrying capacity, or current acceptance capability of a given circuit. The total on resistance is determined by a combination of the Drain Source resistance and the Gate Source resistance.
