NVMFS5C410NLT3G is a single N-channel enhanced mode lateral MOSFET. It is designed specifically for applications where low on-state resistance, low gate charge and fast switching speed are required. This device is typically used to replace equivalent resistive-load switches and is suitable for many"HOT SWAP" applications, which require fast and low gate charge transition while handling high current.

N-channel MOSFETs (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors)have three terminals namely Source, Drain and Gate. As the name suggests MOSFET involves the properties of semiconductors and the concept of storing voltage or charge on a metal oxide gate. A MOSFET transistor can be explicitly categorized into two different types, there are N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs.

As a subset of the N-channel family, there is an enhanced mode to the design, one of them being the NVMFS5C410NLT3G MOSFET. This enhanced mode allows for device operation with higher efficiency than a regular N-channel. This device works on principle of enhancing the channel region concentration by including small amounts of specific materials. Because of this, the threshold voltage of the device is much lower than a standard N-channel.

The NVMFS5C410NLT3G utilizes a lateral MOSFET structure which provides a more favorable on-state resistance. This on-state resistance is typically lower than standard N-channel MOSFETs.
